CHRIS DENWOOD

A dedicated practitioner of traditional karate since childhood, Chris specialises in the holistic application of the art's core principles for civilian protection, personal development, life integration and self-discovery.

Inducted into the Combat Hall of Fame, Chris is a respected author and columnist, with his articles, books and instructional videos being sold in countries across the globe. He is also a regular visitor to Okinawa (the birthplace of karate), as a member of one of the oldest and most esteemed dojo on the island.

Chris has practised a variety of martial arts in order to help supplement his karate study, in addition to being a qualified fitness instructor and advanced level kettlebell lifting coach. He has been active on the international seminar circuit, provided corporate personal safety training for a number of diverse businesses, plus worked as an expert martial arts consultant for UK television.

Teaching from the heart, Chris shares a motivating approach to karate that's based on enriching one's life through austere training, healthy living and self-expression - allowing the study of the art to shape a practical way of life in today's modern society.

Chris is one of the most thoughtful and eloquent martial artists I know and one of the few who examines our art in the depth that it deserves.

Chris is a guy whose knowledge of his art is only surpassed by his humble and gentlemanly attitude to others.  If you ever get the opportunity to train with this man then grab it with both hands.
